ISLA DE PASCUA / EASTERN ISLAND / RAPA NUI
 
Easter Island, called Rapa Nui by its inhabitants or Tepito O TE HENUA is the most remote inhabited island in the world. It was one of the most surprising Cultures comparable only to large megalithic Cultures Egyptian, Mayan or Inca, in conditions of extreme isolation.
RAPA NUI part to the edge of the Polynesian triangle, with Hawaii in the north, New Zealand to the west and French Polynesia in the center; its particularity is to be the only one in the Polynesian island where they speak Spanish and Rapa Nui.
Chilean territory in the Pacific Ocean, the island is located 3.700kms from the coasts of this country.
Myth and reality are confused on this island that gave birth to a unique culture valuable archaeological treasure that transcends the borders of Chile, why was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1995.
Its strategic location makes it the commercial gateway to other countries in Asia and is an important center for scientific investigations especially in the archaeological and anthropological type
Undoubtedly the outstanding feature of the Rapanui culture are the statues of MOAI dedicated to the memory of the ancestral chiefs and chaired since its altar, the AHU all activities of the settlements built on the platform and near a bay.
This predominant statuary managed to overshadow other elements of the Rapanui culture such as: the petroglyphs, tattoo tattoos, body-painting takona, language, music, dance, cuisine and Rong-Rong writing, one of the last writings

TOUR PROGRAM TO ISLA DE PASCUA
 
1 Day: Santiago de Chile – Isla de Pascua / Eastern Island
After morning breakfast in the Hotel in Santiago de Chile. Passengers will be transferred to the International Airport at proper time and flight to Isla de Pascua / Eastern Island, arrive to Isla de Pascua and assistance in airport and transfer to the selected Hotel in HangaRoa, free afternoon dinner and overnight at Hotel in HagaRoa

2 Day: Tours to Orongo
During this trip we will climb the extinct volcano of Rano Kau, from where we will have a view around the entire island with its coasts and volcanoes and the town of HangaRoa. Then we will continue to visit the second view point and we can observe the crater of Rano Kau with its lagoon with more than 800 mts diameter and then we will continue with our tour and arrive at the ceremonial village of Orongo, where was performed the ceremony and competence of the Bird Man - Tangata Manu, after we will also visit the AHU Vinapu with its architecture that remember us to the construction of pre-Inca peoples. At the end of this tour we will visit the caves Ana Kai Tangata cannibals caves where is possible to see cave paintings with sea birds and fish, return to hangaRoa, dinner and overnight in Hotel in HagaRoa

3 Day: Tours to Ahu Vaihu – Anakena
Finalmente llegamos a la playa de ANAKENA donde encontramos 2 plataformas, el AHU NAU NAU y el AHU ATURE HUKI, ambos restaurados. También podemos apreciar las aguas cálidas del Pacifico, descansarnos en la playa con arena rosada bajo palmeras. Después regreso al hotel.
after the breakfast in the Hotel in Hangaroa we will aborad the car and visit to an Ahu not restored, the AHU Vaihu, located in the Bay of HANGA TE'E on the south coast of the island, witness of the phase of destruction a few centuries ago. We continue to the region's AHU Akahanga, then we will continue to some of the most important sites of the Rapa Nui culture, the quarry Rano Raraku, where was carved a total of 887 statues, 397 of them still lying or standing at different times of their construction and transportation, then continue to the AHU Tongariki, restored in 1995, with its 15 statues standing. The last palce that we will visit is the "Navel of the World", together with the AHU Te Pito Kura, with the highest Moai upright and moved, still not restored, Finally we will visit the beach at Anakena, where we find 2 platforms, the AHU NAU NAU and the AHU ATURE HUKI, both restored. We can also appreciate the warm waters of the Pacific; relax on the beach with pink sand under palm trees. Then return to the Hotel diner and overnight in Hotel in AhgaRoa.

4 Day: Tours to Akivi

This tour consists of a visit to the AHU Akivi platform, with 7 Moais restored. The next site visited this cave ANA TE PAHU with its volcanic galleries, then visited the quarry where they were carved PUNA PAU the Puka, "hats" of the Ahu Moai and restored Huri A UNENGA.

5 Day: HangaRoa – Santiago de Chile
Breakfast in the hotel in HagaRoa and transfer to the airport at proper time and flight back to Santiago de Chile
